I’ve always hated Valentine’s and consider it to be a scheme just to make money off the poor sods out there believing in love and the happily-every-after myths…

Strangely, this year’s 14th of February was the B*E*S*T Valentine’s in my life! 🧡 It was also coincidentally my F*I*R*S*T Valentine’s as a single individual and it was awesome! Idk, maybe it’s because I’m 45, a bit wiser and…..dare I say content? The peace and tranquility I experience at this point in my life, is mind-blowing 🤯 And no…..I’m not just referring to the eventual disappearance of the narcissistic leech, that suckled on the nipple of my existence…….but also to the absolute peacefulness that comes with self-acceptance. Not only acceptance of myself, but also of my situation, my capabilities and ultimately, my possible destinies (yes, plural, because my future can go anywhere😉).OMW. it’s usually at this point, where the “I-care-🧡-even-for-little-bugs” personality types, usually say some warm, fuzzy, pseudo motivational bullshit like….broken crayons still colour🌈 Yes Karen we know, they do still colour, but who would pick the broken one if there is a perfectly whole one next to it? It’s only if somebody else is using the whole one, that the broken one will be picked….just saying…idiot 😒 You see, self-acceptance is what helped me to find my peace. I don’t care if I’m broken…I don’t care if I’m not picked…because I’m a colour, and that’s all that matters!

The awareness of my own brokenness, was probably the reason I attracted all the crap with Narcissistic qualities….idk but sometimes it felt like I was a magnet to those types🙄 I honestly think something has changed in me and the biggest part of that change is myself….and of course the escape from my last narcissistic suckling. I might owe him a ‘Thank you’ card for finally leaving, but he is so entitled and egotistic, that he probably already sent himself one…😂 Anyway, this new-found single life is in it’s baby-steps still and TBH, I’m still waiting to get lonely or bored – I hear it happens when you are in great company…and I’m awesome company 😁 On a more serious note, we really need to stop telling fairytales to our daughters or at least change them.. Fairytales about pretty, precious princesses waiting for that cool, charming prince. We need to teach our daughters to stop worrying about being pretty and rather teach them to be pretty kind, pretty funny, pretty smart and definitely teach them they are pretty strong! Teach them to be warriors instead of pretty princesses and make sure that no narcissist, ever gets a foothold on an insecurity and gaslight and charm his way in….stop them before they even get a chance to latch onto that nipple😠

I’m in a good mood today – must be because I actually got about 8 hours of sleep….I so wish this could happen more often (like on a regular basis) and not only when my body shuts down from pure exhaustion…So let me stop rambling, (I can see that I’m working myself up to a rant 😂) while still in a good mood…maybe I should use this mood constructively and come up with a plan to assassinate Cupid🤔 – hey, if we gonna change fairytales and the way we perceive “love” we might as well start with the biggest culprit of them all!

Awww February, the month of St. Cupid, pesky little arrows everywhere and… love🤢 It’s also the shortest month but the most exhausting one on my wallet……both my daughters were born in February 🙄 so 2 birthdays!
