This is me, doing my bit to help the thousands (looking at Facebook, I would say millions) of souls with low to none, intellectual-, reasoning- or comprehensive abilities. In fact, I am surprised that they have mastered the ability to read (they are still battling with spelling though…) Now take a seat children, for today’s lesson on ‘Why humanity deserve a pandemic’
1. When all this chaos started, we were flooded with cries of “The flu is worse and kills way more people” or stats from ‘statistical analysts showing us that “Cancer, TB, Aids etc takes more lives – why wasn’t there a lock-down then, huh???” I have explained the r-naught value and the impact of exponential growth to infinity and beyond to no avail. Let’s start with your language skills kids…

Let me know once you fully comprehend the word and I will explain in detail the reasoning behind lock-down, quarantine and “Flattening the Curve”. Oh, yeah…but what about jobs…and money…this is going to kill more people than the virus! Interestingly enough, I still have to hear of one of my friends or any of their acquaintances, that lost their jobs, businesses or starved to death…the people complaining about it, always heard it, legitimately, from an aunt, who has a friend, whose husband, heard about a guy, who lost his job. And before you even start to say something about the curfew implemented – may I remind you that a couple of decades ago, people were forced to carry a little pass book, travel within certain area’s had to be requested and authorized by law. This authorization was only up to 6 pm, after 6 you would be locked up for being in that area….but you might not know this, as it was a law that only applied to certain groups, and it was for political ideologies, not even a pandemic…Imagine how you would have bitched then.
2. Ahhhh, and then our country decided to ban alcohol and tobacco 😱(I was a smoker myself, so I know how hard it was) and then conspiracy theorists and opposing political groups started using that as propaganda to recruit more crazies or votes for the coming election. If you were raised in this country with it’s notorious history of inequality, how can you then, not understand? These were banned for ALL to prevent people from sharing a cigarette. Oh, what’s that? You don’t ever share a cigarette? How “privileged” you are not to stand at a traffic light the whole day begging for money or selling goods. And how blessed and privileged you must be, not to have to share, a loose draw you managed to buy (from coins collected) off a vendor on the sidewalk. You share with your fellow ‘colleagues’, also standing on crossings and corners, because you know they share the same hardships as you… A reality check – this does not only happen at traffic lights, but also in informal settlements, scattered across the country. People are poor, and can only afford to buy a single cigarette whenever they have a couple of extra coins on hand. They also, always share, it’s Ubuntu – I am because we are...maybe you should consider learning a few words from other languages…like Zulu. So the government should have banned the sale of cigarettes, but only for some groups? Only to those living in certain area’s? (less privileged area’s?) Only because you can afford to buy a whole pack whenever you feel like it? Sounds a bit unfair and almost like history repeating itself, doesn’t it?
3. Eventually, we heard last night that tobacco and alcohol will be legal again – 😂 I quit smoking 2 months ago and I don’t drink, so I really don’t care. We are moving to level 2 and that means almost all, will be able to work again. Most importantly new cases are less every day and going down. We are even allowed inter provincial travel now and going on vacation, as long as we social distance, sanitize and comply to regulations of wearing a mask. So now the Karen’s and political fear mongers have run out of arguments and decided to join the conspiracy theorist group…”Down with masks”…”Masks make you sick”…”I refuse to be controlled and wear a mask” and the best one I heard today “People in China have been wearing masks for years, lethal viruses come from there…so it’s just common sense – Masks makes you sick and cause pandemics!” 🙄 FFS! How do you think we got over the Spanish flu, a hundred years ago? There still is no vaccine for it, because the virus died out before they could create one. No vaccine, but social distancing, banning social gatherings, curfews, quarantine…and wearing a mask did the trick. The reality is that if you keep on being stubborn and ignorant, our only hope will be finding a vaccine.😈
Yes antivaxxers, your tin-foil hats are not covering your ears – did you hear what I just said. Wearing a mask and social distancing is the only thing that will save you from the New World Order and Bill Gates with his controlling microchip vaccine!!! Use that one brain cell you have reserved for eating, drinking and pooping and think for a second or if still possible, search for that last bit of humanity and compassion, buried beneath all the money and greed.
