Treading on Rakes

So , I’m still on sabbatical πŸ™„ still alone…. and yes, I am aware of the fact that it’s only been a couple of days, ok!!! History has made me aware of some signs to watch out for and all I can say is, I can see me, already stirring up a pot full of trouble. I swear, I need a fucking manager/father figure to keep me in line! Seriously. WTF! A guy can be dressed in an outfit made solely out of red flags, and I will still search for something red, in order to compare it, to make sure it is red……and then, still decide it’s sort of rather maroon than red, and just carry on.

So to prevent me from fucking up (again), I have started a list of questions and characteristics required, if ever there is a possibility of a future male in my life. I have decided that I will not get involved with anyone who does not get a 100% score on this. After much consideration and planning, I present you with my list of requirements, thus far. It’s a work in progress.

  • Do you have a job?
  • Do you earn enough to sustain yourself?
  • Do you own a mode of transport?
  • Do you rent or own a place?
  • Can your ex do basic stuff without needing your assistance?
  • Do you easily feel emancipated and without balls by a confident women?
  • Are you an alcoholic?
  • Do you use drugs?
  • If yes, please specify all drugs you use
  • Have you, or any of your family members, been diagnosed by a psychiatrist or psychologist?
  • If yes, please specify diagnosis
  • Please use the following words to complete the sentence: cents, scents, sense
    • The boy had the good _______to count his_______ and smell all the ________before deciding on a perfume for his mother
  • Answer True/False to the following:
    • The man is the head of a household
    • Children should be seen and not heard
    • Divorcees can still be friends
    • The gender payment gap is just feminist propaganda

Like I said. It’s a work in progress. By the looks of it, I better finish this as soon as possible……I’m heading for a cliff at an alarming record speed. I honestly think I’ll never learn and can just shake my head with disappointment, much like my mother always did when she was still amongst the livingπŸ€” You know the Russians say “you keep treading on the same rake” when someone makes the same mistake over and over again…..Ja, no worries, I am already on the way to the shed to go an fetch my rake….

  1. You are worrying to much about dating, you are a beautiful, intelligent, loving woman who is perfectly capable of looking after yourself for a while until the right guy comes along, stop settling for second best when you are worthy of the trophy for the first place man.

  2. Maybe remove ” Divorcees can still be friends.” as you are a classic example of the fact that indeed your ex is your best friend…just saying…..
